The scope of the society broadly relates to activities concerning research and study on telecommunications including, inter-alia, broadcasting, information technology and space sciences, with special emphasis on rural development.
Purpose
The purpose of the society is:
a. Scientific and technological
b. Research oriented
c. Educational
d. Collection, maintenance and dissemination of knowledge and information.
e. Coordination, promotion and formulation of expert opinion on topical subjects including radiocommunications, spectrum management, radio regulations, telecommunication standardization and telecommunication development.
f. To act as a bridge between the industry and other institutions on the on hand and the government and other regulatory agencies on the other.
g. To support ITU Plenipotentiary Conference, APT General Assembly and other major ITU and APT meetings and events. |
